The focal point of the breed is its massive head with very strong jaws, serving the purpose of gripping folds of skin. The body of these dogs has a low gravity center, situated well to the front of the animal, which makes the dog difficult to flip over. The face should be extremely short, the muzzle being very short, broad and turned upward. The eyes of the breed are situated low down in the scull and as wide apart as possible. The nose is broad, with its tip set back deeply between the eyes. The neck of these dogs should be short and very thick; the shoulders must be wide and muscular, giving stability and great power.
